You have reached the home of the East Meadow Baseball Softball Association.

Our goal at EMBSA, is for your child to have a fun experience, make new friends, and learn fundamentals and sportsmanship.

As general information, here are some details of our Association:

The East Meadow Boys Baseball, East Meadow Girls Softball, and East Meadow Senior League are under charter by Little League International Incorporated for their annual Spring Season and is an all-volunteer organization for the benefit of the children who live within our boundaries as defined by Little League International. We serve the East Meadow communities between North Jerusalem Road (on the South) and Hempstead Turnpike (on the North) and between the Wantagh Parkway (on the East) and the Meadowbrook Parkway (on the West). We also serve the small area between Carmen Avenue (on the East) and Eisenhower Park (on the North and West).

As stated, we are a volunteer organization and our Complex is maintained solely by our volunteers.  This includes everything from picking up garbage, cleaning bathrooms to grooming the fields. Any and all help would be appreciated in keeping East Meadow as the best Complex on Long Island.

Our Association consists of five individual Leagues with a common goal, to provide a quality program for the youth of our community.  We are always looking for volunteers, not only to coach or manage, but those who can offer various other skills to help keep costs down in running the Association. Each League holds its own meetings, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.  Attending these meetings allows you to hear what is taking place in that League, and give you the opportunity to be heard as well.  For those who wish to get more involved, or more informed, we invite you to attend these monthly League meetings.  Feel free to attend any and all meetings that pertain to your child's division, perhaps the division that you will be in soon, or even a League that you would just like to know more about.  You can also email the President/Director of each League for more information.  All meetings are held in our Boardroom (adjacent to the snack bar) on our Complex which is on Merrick Avenue just south of Hempstead Turnpike.

Mini League/Kickball is open to boys and girls ages 3-6, and has meetings on the second Monday of every month at 8:00 PM.  Ben Frisch is President and can be contacted at benf@embsa.net.

Senior League is open to boys ages 13-17, and has meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 8:00PM.  Larry Barra is President and can be contacted at larryb@embsa.net

Boys Baseball is open to boys ages 7-12, and has meetings on the second Wednesday of every month at 8:00 PM.  Mike Catalano is President and can be contacted at mikec@embsa.net

Girls Softball is open to girls ages 5-17, and has meeting on the second Thursday of every month at 8:00 PM.  Mike Barnwell is President and can be contacted at mikebarnwell@embsa.net

Challenger is open to boys and girls ages 5 and up, and has meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM.  Lee Cook is the Director in charge and can be contacted at leec@embsa.net

Each League, with the exception of the Challenger Division, elects its own President, Vice President and its Board Members.   Each of these Board Members and Presidents comprise the Board of Directors, with the addition of several At Large Directors, Life Members, and Commissioner and Vice Commissioner.

For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Commissioner Steve LaSala at stevel@embsa.net or Vice Commissioner Jim Mazzarella at jimm@embsa.net

We look forward to seeing you on our Complex, hope you have a great season!

2024 Todd Koehler Memorial Tournament

Over the weekend of April 5th - April 7th, the East Meadow Baseball Softball organization hosted and organized a special memorial tournament fundraiser to benefit the Koehler family in these difficult times.  The Koehler family was present and was sincerely appreciative as EMBSA commemorated Todd's legacy of devoting his time to youth baseball/softball as a former EM Little League President and Williamsport District 32 Admin/Section 4 East Admin.  Neighboring towns participated in the tournament with fun had by all while celebrating Todd's passion for the sport.  Special thanks to all that volunteered their time to help organize this successful event and those who helped prepared the fields.

2024 EMBSA Coaches Clinic

Hosted by Tom Abruscato

On Thursday, 3/21/24, Tom Abruscato, an East Meadow Clarke High School Baseball coach, volunteered his time to run a free coaches clinic for East Meadow Baseball Softball Association. EMBSA recognizes it is an organization of parent volunteers and wants to help develop all the coaches.  Tom offered tips and techniques ranging from hitting off the tee, fielding, running a batting practice, to name a few.  EMBSA thanks Tom for his time! Everyone can see him down at our Complex over the summer when he hosts his summer baseball and softball camps (see Summer Camps under Main Menu).

East Meadow Chamber of Commerce

Man of the Year

On Friday, March 11, 2022,  EMBSA Commissioner Steve Lasala was presented the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce award for Man of the Year.  We are overwhelmed with pride, that our very own EMBSA Commissioner has been named Man of the Year. With his commitment not only to EMBSA, but to the entire East Meadow Community, we are fortunate to have him as our Commissioner and friend. Please join us in congratulating Steve on this outstanding honor and accomplishment when you see him at the complex and around town!

EMBSA would like to congratulate Richie Krug Jr. as the new East Meadow Chamber of Commerce President! We bid him and all the incoming Board members the best of luck and much success.  We thank the former President Michael Levy for his extraordinary efforts helping businesses and the community during the pandemic.
